Consignment Hardware
Computers, Printers, Scanners, Cash Drawers, Display Poles, Card Swipers

Right off the top, the worst place to buy consignment hardware is from over-priced, under-serviced consignment software vendors like Liberty and 'Consignpro'.

For starters, both hide shipping fees and tack them on at the end of the order, but that may be the least of their transgressions.

Blatant over-pricing is front and center. Prices won't be posted here so we don't have to keep up with their price increases, but suffice it to say that searching Google for the model number of the hardware item will demonstrate the stark contrast between providers who want your business and vendors who are out to gouge the few who won't shop around. Don't be surprised if the 'best price' is 50% that of the opportunists.

Here are some tactics to be aware of and to laugh at:

'Consignpro' compares its high-flying prices to even higher 'List Prices' which as everyone knows by now, no one pays. List Price may be 200% above the 'best price' and Consignpro is 50% of List Price.

Most providers who sell hardware provide support for the hardware. Not these two! You want them to help you with your printer? Add another $50 or so. Help with the scammer, oops, scanner, ditto.

And just how much is shipping? Why do I have to place my order, uh, give you my credit card information, before you tell me how much profit you intend to make from this hidden charge?
